    technically it isn't free with an oyster card because you have to top-up (I think)

    anyway it's 50p return into town and £3 to York. I prefer going to York by train which is £3.60 I think

    From my village to the city centre, which is four miles...

    One way

    Child £1.20
    Adult £1.80

    Return is around £2.20 I think.
