First of all Windows 7 is BETA so unless you know what you are doing and use a computer alot etc don't install it, Secondly you can't install Apple/iMac they are a form of hardware, www.apple.com to be exact, however you can install Vista onto an iMac they run a system called OS X separate to Microsoft Windows.

    Hi,

It's called an OS (short for Operating System).

Windows 7, whilst a promising OS, is still in beta, and is not recommended to be your primary OS as it will have a lot of bugs.

I don't particularly want to recommend Vista, however I would say it is the most sensible choice out of the options you provided.

I would personally recommend you stick to XP as it is exceedingly stable and a very secure OS (but don't forget to install the updates).

Good luck, I hope this has helped.

    REP+ to you all.
I'll look into Windows 7 possibly.

1st Comment- Ok thanks, I'll see about Windows 7. Also there is an 'OS' Apple version for Vista, my friend used to have. Oh and thats for the information.

2nd Comment- Thanks for all the information and I currently have Vista which is ok.

3rd Comment- I'll have a look into it

There isn't a *legal* version of OS X for PC. If you don't know what an OS is, I wouldn't really recommend installing Windows 7. I suppose you could try Linux, which is as close as you'll get to OS X, for free.
