    Default Netbook for under £200

    Hi,

I'm looking to get a netbook, but I have a strict budget of £200 and I have requirements. My requirements are:

    • Intel Atom Processor
    • 8.9" screen (minimum)
    • 60GB HDD +
    • Windows XP/Ability to upgrade to XP via a CD
    • Decent size keyboard and trackpad
    • 1GB RAM.

Thank you everybody for your help!

All but the CPU. If i'm honest i doubt you'll find what you want in your price range (at least brand new anyway). You can install an OS via USB flash drive.

    Edit: look at these

    Thanks for your quick response.

How much slower is that CPU? Also, how do I install the Windows XP OS via my USB flash drive?

EDIT: I think i'm going to get http://www.play.com/PC/PCs/4-/582600...e/Product.html when I have the money.

    Thanks very much + REP!

You need to make the flash drive bootable and copy all the data from the disc to it. Then boot from it like you would a CD.

    Thanks.

Do you have a guide? I'm not so sure with things like that.

I would like to apologise for this post before I get to the point and I'd like to say that in the spoiler there is a link to PC World as this is actually cheaper, I do not intend to offend anyone but if there was another way to put it, I would of chose to go down that route. It was not an easy decision to make.
