    The ceremony will be held at The Kodak Theatre on the 22nd February with Hugh Jackman (for some reason) hosting the ceremony. Dunno about you guys, but I love awards shows. The Oscars is the tip top, so I'm lookin forward to it. Hoping Slumdog Millionaire picks up a bunch

    Heath ledger will hopefully win, not because hes dead, but because he played the role amazingly

    Its Oscars 2008 because its acknowledging film of 2008, rather than 2009 :8!

    Edit: At Alkaz: They hold it at the start of the next year so as many films as possible released the previous year can be included in the nominations They don't call it the Awards Season for nothing

    Why did Bolt make it through to the nominiations for Best Animated Feature. :@

    Slumdog Millionaire has done amazingly well so far, I really have to get around to seeing it.

    ive only seen an hour of it (damn DIVX!!!)
    bu what i have seen of it, it deserves to win some awards. A completely different approach to a film and shows a lot of the things people dont know happen in india

    Innit, but the industry refer to them as The Oscars 2008, including members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences who vote on the winners. "The 81st Academy Awards ceremony will honor the best films of 2008". It might not be technically, but its a tradition ;D
