Judging by your recount, your clearly cannot. Considering I am the mage class leader in a fairly high end raiding guild on my server I should know these things Although in the up coming patch arcane/fire may prove to be the best single target DPS.. only time will tell.

Yes because the dps for a boss which has a silencing ability is clearly a good measure for dps :rolleyes:. As for mage class leader, looking at the other 3 80 mages in your guild that's hardly something to brag about lol.]

Oh and after 3.0.8, arcane blast is getting seriously buffed, with the 15% damage increase stacked 3 times then an arcane barrage, I reckon it would hit for about 8k crit

i 100% agree with tomm. I freshly dinged 80, got SOME gear, and went to a heroic as arcane. I did 1.5k dps (overall).

I go again as FFB, i did like 2.5k dps (overall). And hit 3.2k dps on a boss (gotta luv heroism).

Might be a gear/casting rotation thing too, everyone has their own playstyles.

Rexo was trying Arcane here in this naxx the other night for kicks, and he managed to hit 3.1k DPS with it, although he said he actually had to pay attention for a change



Seems a bit harsh making people in the guild respecc, with tanks and healers it's understandable, but anyone who plays DPS play their own way. Everyone who's playing a DK is screaming that DW with frost is the big thing with DKs atm, but I've stuck Unholy and stayed with my maHUssive sword, and I'm still out-DPS'ing the rogues in plate, despite they're at the same gear level as me.

I can hit 3.1k in 10 mans single target, and Arachnid quarter = huge AOE dps, + 25 man buffs and such, so it might be alright but no too great.



And nies 5.4k dps Charles! Hunters been nerfed and you're still pwning. Can't wait to get some ilevel 213 weps and some more new gear and see what DPS enhance can do on Patchy. Currently 3.1k 10 man.
