No, a birth certificate won't work.
It hasn't got a photo of you on it does it?
You could just have stole it from your dad.

And a photocopy often doesn't work.

Oh ok, I'll ask them when I'm there, but I'll bring the original passport and say next time can I bring a photocopy so nothing happens to the real one.

I can guarantee you can not use a photocopy, even if they have seen your passport already. They deal with thousands of customers a week they will forget your face pretty fast.
    Passport is your best option.

I doubt yours broke at 12, most peoples break at 14-18 Youngest person I've heard though is a boy from school, he's black and his voice broke when he was 13, but black people mostly have deep voices so that explains it.

Anyway just bring a passport, it has your picture and age to prove it's not someone else.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.

A National Insurance card is not proof of ID.

The only option I think you'd have is a passport.

I know you've already got it, but for future purposes you can get a half price Citizens card when filling out a form through GAME. Ask your local store if they've got the form for it as it's only a fiver and that was you won't have to carry your passport about.
