Default Finally gonna start watching anime.

I'v been browsing throguh this section of the forum and decided to finally start watching anime. I'll use the web to start.

Anyway I'm making one of those animelist things i saw in someones sig and will keep my progress tracked there. I dont plan on watching like 10 different animes at once, prefer to complete one before i start another.

Any recommendations on where to start? I've watched alot of deathnote before but would really need to re watch.

depends on your taste really.. so id say start with some short series before moving onto a large one.

Black cat, Full metal alchemist, Outlaw star, Paranoia Agent, Death Note, Higurashi no noko koro ni (think i got that right ) Outlaw star, Baki the grappler are some on top of my head. once you have watched a few short series then you could move onto a on going series like Naruto, Bleach, One Piece which most people tend to like atleast one of them

    Watch dubbed not subbed.
That's why we seize the moment, try to freeze it and own it, squeeze it and hold it cause we consider these minutes golden.

I was actually just looking at trigun as a future watch. I'll add it to my 'to watch' list.

Seriously do not watch dubbed, everyone here except for Jord watches subbed. Myself and many others feel as if it takes away the whole feeling of an anime and the japanese culture. I'd recommend Death Note, it was my first ever anime and made me watch what I do today

Just ignore everyone else, watch dubbed anime if you want.

I'd recommend starting at Death Note, and you absolutely have to watch Sword of the Stranger. It's an anime movie, not a series. It's beyond amazing. Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann is another brilliant series, on par if not better than Death Note. Trigun is a fantastic watch, as is Samurai Champloo, Read or Die and Utawarerumono. Soul Eater might also interest you, and perhaps Afro Samurai and The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya.

Gurren Lagann has 27 episodes, Sword of the Stranger is a movie, Read or die is 3 episodes long, The Melancholy of Haruhi Suzumiya I think has 14 episodes, Death Note has 37, Soul Eater has 41 so far, Afro Samurai has 5 and Utawarerumono, Trigun and Samurai Champloo have 26.

They're good things to start with and overall very enjoyable, but I can't really give you spot on recommendations since I don't know your tastes and what you're into.

Also, I sent you a friend request on MyAnimeList.
