I'd recommend doing some cardio for a few months before beginning to lift weights. Or do your cardio after you do your weights. Why is this? This is because when you consume calories, these will give you energy to exercise. If you use all of them calories up by doing cardio before weights, you'll have no energy to lift weights and thus won't have a good workout.

Eat a meal before you workout to give you some energy. Remember to breath properly too then lol!

    Naughty :@

If you don't breathe then you have no oxygen. If you have no oxygen then your body can't get enough blood to the muscle your working on to get that 'pump' feeling.

Also it's best to not eat a big meal for atleast two hours before gym because you will have more blood for your muscles.

Wow I should really think about going into personal training

Also I just bought a 500g tub of creatine for like £10.00, i'm against protein shakes but heard great things about creatine and am going to let you guys know how it turns out

Protein shakes are full of calories and most lie about how much protein is in 1 drink. For my protein I just eat nuts and tesco sandwich chicken, which by the way contains 2g of protein and 8 calories per slice

Pretty decent, i don't take protein shakes neither i agree its better to get calories and proteins from nuts etc. Creatine is replacing the ATP energy in your muscles. Basically just providing you with more muscle energy.

Yeah well I might go buy a load tomorrow. I have to tighten the purse strings since I have to save up for my holiday and its the credit crunch. Bodybuilding is quite expensive if you think about everything you consume in a day
