Does anyone else find it amusing how Geraint is making light of the fact that he applied by being oh-so-funny with his (over repeated) joke about sig changing and the post saying he's going to apply with spam answers so he doesn't have to feel bad about not getting a placement

I should hope not, because if someone wishes to become a mod, and they don't know how to conduct themselves in a thread like this, then all they are doing is proving they aren't suitable for the position A good moderator doesn't get into arguements

I love how when the apps come round everyone tries to look responsible and put little mottos in their sigs

You only get put on there for bad things such as hackings leaking details etc. If you've never been staff you won't be put on there you just won't be hired. It doesn't mean much because Olleh used to be on there and now he's News Manager. Remove if that's secret information, I'm guessing it's OK because he's staff now :8

You only get put on the Do Not Hire List for quite serious things, but if you get removed, you usually have an extremely good reason for being removed .

Not a secret at all, just not spoken of much. Anyway, this thread isn't about the DNHL, it's about Forum Moderator Applications. I've applied myself (the cheek - managers having to apply! ), good luck to everyone else!

I was bored last night, so I took 5 mins to send in a crappy application, for a laugh. The sig thing is just a joke at how other people have done it. :rolleyes:

Does being a rebel make you cool? Would it kill you to be supportive to people who are serious about becoming a moderator? If someone wants to become one then that's up to them and by making those signatures, it shows that they are friendly and happy to help others so I don't understand what's so amusing about it. :S
