in the D&D section, can we get a rule for people asking for help?
the rule is simple: if you're posting an obscure coding related error, post the code.
It's stupid having to ask people to post the code every damn time they come up with an error.

I dont think it should be a rule but there certainly should be some emphasis on it. Its also amongst other posts aswell in that area. People will just tell you something isnt working or the site is broke or help or make this (free/paid).
They just dont give enough information its always one of two sentences long and we aren't mind readers.
Rule: No
Emphasis: e.g. Stickied global guide - Yes
I agree with yonder, a sticky giving people sort of guidelines what information to post when posting about issues would be sufficient.
It costs nothing to be a good friend.

It depends if people actually take the time to read a sticky without it obscuring people who are aware of the obvious and disturbing their use of the forum. Does vB have a rule thing which is like a sub-forum, but it holds rule information for specfic forums and can be collapsed? That's one idea if possible, if not I'd imagine vB will copy it off of IPB soon enough
Could just make a thread called 'READ BEFORE POSTING: Rules' but it depends if people hate capital words everywhere![]()
