The open space was intended for allowing people to interact and mingle. It is used a lot, not everyone sits down really everyones up and crossing the room. Its a nice space for socialising, especially when the room is full. With the Valentines Layout when we had the piano in the room it was quite an obstruction. A few plants wouldn't hurt though.

I did say maybe an executive table, I don't think it's really needed, and as you say it keeps the space open which is probably better than cluttering the room, but it does needs a couple of plants. Good luck with it, best layout I've seen the room in, in a long time

It's definitely the badge skills and I've just dropped some bonsai's down and it does look pretty shocking.
