    Default Imac Broke - urgent help.

    Yeh, I kind of got a virus:

    when i try and go on windows it says
    there is a corrupt or missing file
    blahblahblah
    reinstall the file

    Its a imac
    Urgent help required !!
    Thank, you if you do help me by the way.
    I need to either do a system restore to a back date as I can't even accesss windows....

    on a serious note whats the message exactly as blah blah corrupt file blah blah doesn't really help.

    Windows could not start because the following file is missing or corrupt
    <windows root>\system32\hal.dll.
    please reinstall a copy of the above file

    Help!!

    Judging by your ridiculously ill-informed post, I will assume you have attempted to install Windows via Bootcamp and failed miserably and you are now having trouble booting back into OS X.

    Hold the mouse button down as you boot up the iMac, the disc will eject, OS X will boot. Enjoy.
    That went fast.

    I was about to say.. Why wouldn't you just boot into OS X?
