I am not denying that the child has obviously been taught, by his father, how to fire a weapon. I was merely saying that it's not as simple as firing a toy gun. If I gave my 11 year old brother an unloaded shotgun I think it would require much thought to load and fire it. Not only that if he managed to load it, firing it would mean taking great care as you have to think about weapon kick back etc. Oh, and you don't load shotgun shells via the barrel, as such.
