Sick child. He makes me feel sick, I hope he rots away in prision, I don't care if the guy is a kid.
Wow... that's all I have to say O_O
I read the first part of the article wrong and was like "Wah?"
That baby grew up fastand her unborn baby, Lawrence County District Attorney John Bongivengo said.
Holy cow, there are guns designed for children!? And they blame the boy? If they don't want children shooting at anything, then why design guns for them? And what's to stop an adult from buying a gun designed for children? They don't have to be registered (as the article says).
Does make you wonder what's up with this planet :/

They're both at fault. Legalising guns is stupid - it's like the argument about people carrying knives, you don't have it if you don't plan on using it. But the kid obviously had issues and at the end of the day the gun didn't go off by itself.I read the first part of the article wrong and was like "Wah?"

It says in the article that the shotgun was a 20 gauge which means it has far less recoil than the more commonly used 12 gauge.I am not denying that the child has obviously been taught, by his father, how to fire a weapon. I was merely saying that it's not as simple as firing a toy gun. If I gave my 11 year old brother an unloaded shotgun I think it would require much thought to load and fire it. Not only that if he managed to load it, firing it would mean taking great care as you have to think about weapon kick back etc. Oh, and you don't load shotgun shells via the barrel, as such.
Also with most shotguns (unless semi automatic) you 'snap' the barrel of the shotgun and place the cartridges into both barrels (assuming it is double barreled) and as someone said above there is only one way that they will fit in.
I agree this is pretty disturbing but you cannot simply blame guns for what he did. I'm pretty sure he would've used a knife or anything else he had at his disposal had it not been a shotgun. Seems to me that he's just one messed up little child that hopefully will spend the rest of his life locked up!
Me and my younger brothers have been bought up around and using guns and I'd never dream of even pointing an unloaded shotgun at anyone let alone a loaded one. Being shown how to use a gun properly and appropriately usually teaches you a great amount of respect for the damage such a weapon can do clearly though that is not always the case!
I'm sure there are thousands of children who have guns for whatever reason but have been taught how to use them properly.I read the first part of the article wrong and was like "Wah?"
