    Default Mac or Windows?

Okay ill get this topic started by saying...
I need some help i have been thinking all week as i am getting a new computer as i am giving my new-ish one to my bro and i am getting bored of windows and there is Mac as anther OS so i need help Mac or Windows.
If i get a mac i would get a MacBook one of them but what one i do not know if i get windows ill just build anther computer the same or a little better then what i got now.
The thing thats got me down is it werth the money as i am in AU the cost is a bit bigger (well a lot) then the US so you can see (click here).
Now on the the spec if i get a windows it will just the basic 4GB ram qoud core etc. but if i get a mac i got a nice looking computer the Mac OS and from what i have been told you can run windows vista under boot camp but i am not to sure how well it would run under the specs of a mac.
So the botton line Mac or windows whats the best go.

If you like games you can still go for a Mac and run Windows on it, but beware you won't be able to play the latest games on high detail.

Having just moved to an old-school iBook i'd definetly say Mac. It isn't as hard to get used to as everyone says, I mastered mine in a few days. Plus, when you look at them in terms of software issues, there are barely any. In terms of hardware, this Mac has had £40 spent on it in the last four years, only to replace an old battery, compared to the ££££'s you may spend on a Windows based PC infected with Spyware that takes a trip to PC World every six months...

I just switched to a Mac in December and I certainly wouldn't go back to using Vista as my main operating system.....or my operating system on anything for that matter.

Excuse me? Most of the users in this Tech section have never taken a PC to PC World to be "fixed" seeing as any computer user with half a brain would Google a virus/problem and see how to remove it themselves.

All your going to get here is a load of Mac vs PC crap again, as I said, try both out, or even try installing Linux, which is based of UNIX (like OS X), is 99% free and works on any computer out there.

P.S. I like the way all the Mac users come flooding in first.

lol@chu. why don't you just shut up, a lot of tech forum readers are mac users.

I got bored of Windows, switched to Mac and will never think twice about Windows again. I've just had much less trouble with the Mac. It's amazing.
    That went fast.
