There is a catch, they have a direct and valid mobile number that they can sell for a premium price to phone sales companies.
Well done to anyone who bought one and look forward to annoying 3am phone calls because you wanted a .co.uk which is crap anyway...
Changed my number :p
Incorrect, when you sign up in the T&Cs it clearly states that they only contact you to renew it. They go by the Data Protection Act 1998 and the information isn't given to no-one else or for them to profit off.
Make sure you research before you accuse.
The T&C clearly states "THEY" will contact you to renew it. I want proof that they don't sell the information, why else would they need you to verify your mobile number?
Lol, noob.

Suppose there had to be a catch, lol. I'll just block them.
Nothings totally free, they're T&Cs clearly state that your information isn't given to no-one else. They want your mobile because the chances are you'll always have your mobile with you, plus so little kids don't register loads and the chances of renewing are slim.
If I get a call from some sales person then I'll go straight to Ovh with a complaint.
User who have been registered with them over a year have already said they send you 1 email and thats it.
Just got one today thanks alot.

sorry but gregs right.. The data protection act is about protecting your data from getting in the wrong hands via hacking or phishing etc. The company own your data now and can do what they wish. Its of value because they pay to keep it secure.Nothings totally free, they're T&Cs clearly state that your information isn't given to no-one else. Anyway, you couldve avoided this by just using an old mobile number
Well I have been using this for over a year and my number hasn't been contacted?
Neither have the many users who have posted in here..
