Well, well a fellow Brightonian lol I live near Whitehawk, used to live in it, most of my friends come from there. It's not as bad as everyone says it is! But yeah, it has it's bad sides lol

Depends what area of Hackney, E9, E8 & E5 you don't wanna go during the night but then places like E13 you can go because it isn't as rough.

I mean what the hell? when my friend told me I didn't think anything like this happened in England (Excpet for tourist attractions like London)

Suppose anyone will do anything to get their hands on money.

The way I see rough aeras don't make eye contact with anyone, if someone starts on you just walk away and don't give people beef for no reason.
Lol down the road near Tesco people would just wash your car as it was at the traffic lights without you even wanting it done, and then a few weeks later you'd see flowers in that spot (guess what happened) lol, your friend should've just locked the door and drove off.

whitehawk's got alot better these days, we don't really have a rough place in brighton, even town centre at night (west street) is pretty chilled out.

Although, these days it's more 13 year olds walking along the street listening to their nang squad or po-gang (don't comment me on those names).

But, all places at night are usually fairly rough in London regardless. Although Hackney is relatively rough/dodgy, those living outside of the borough usually think it is much rougher and think more crime happens than it actually does as I have argued before in this topic I think.
