Looking forward to some HxHD Events.
I believe it was brought up between the team a while back, doesn't look like it got kicked off...

Right... this is going to shock a few people as my opinion on matters about Habbox Help Desk have changed vastly since the days when I would argue to save HxHD.

The problem is, Habbo have done help desks out of business with their new extensive site with groups, increased moderation, Habbo X's used to be a factor and generally a more self explanatory system... which isn't really hard to use. It's gradually happened over the years, but it certainly has happened, unfortunately.

Therefore no event will increase the popularity of the "Help Desk", as someone has already mentioned, it will just bring in people for prizes who will never return.

When I managed the Help Desk I spent an awful lot of time in there and over the period I worked for HxHD the number of people needing genuine help declined quite rapidly. I remember sitting for hours at the desk helping people endlessly. I remember then seeing my staff do this.. but less & less people came in for help and more and more people came in to doss around.

The thing is, staff don't really go to the help desk anymore to work and it functions fine without staff helping. The room popularity would not change whether there were staff employed or not, this is by no means in offence to Leah & her team, there is just nothing they can do really.

Once upon a time, Habbox Help Desk would be feeder for the Habbox Community. Someone would come into Habbox Help Desk and ask for help, and if staff were unsure, or the customer was happy with the help and asked what organisation we were from we let them know the forum & the website. It was great for bringing new people into the Habbox Community.

Now I think the method has died and something new needs to come about. Management have been thinking about ditching HxHD for years, 8Freak8 wanted me to turn it into a bloody kickwars!

People who go to HxHD are just regular Habboxers, which is good but what about bringing new people in?

Weekly quiz nights, events all sound brilliant and quite possibly should happen.. but why not turn the help desk into more of a get together room.

I'll refer it to something from real life, by no means do I mean make it into a Habbo version of this.

Take a Pub. People go there to socialise, they have quiz nights and generally do entertaining things.

Why not make a room to suit that purpose for Habbox? 'Cause come on that's basically what Habbox is, it's just not drawing people in 'cause of the bland Help Desk name.. "It's a help desk, I dont need help?" New people think.

Habbox has had a Help desk for years and it would be the end of a very huge and important era, but the times are changing, the times have changed and maybe it's a good idea for Habbox to do this too, instead of leaving HxHD there, wasting away.

Secretly HxHD is a lounge now, as the staff area is like 9 spaces (floor wise) rest is just a open area but its not officially a lounge its sitll help desk.

I initially disagreed with the idea to turn it into a lounge, it was mentioned when I was manager, but i was always pro-HxHD, but then in my day it was used as a help desk.

I really do think it would be beneficial to go all the way with the lounge idea, it would work so well, and maybe just have a few official habbox representatives in there as staff to direct people around habbox...

Didn't the forum have something like that a few months ago with Catzsy & people? But something like that for on habbo would be great.

init I'm not often on but when I am I hardly ever see any staff in there, just randoms and HxF people. More events and stuff in there would mean they actually have a job instead of a redundant position of "you're a mate so you can work there"

Mm Yeh im usually in HxHD (well until they decided to perm me for blocking for 15 mins :S) and often its the lower staff (non SS's) in there but there is only like 12 staff now, and usually just people who come in alot, but then it will fill up with annoying kids called HabboxLive listeners, then they leave and its dead again. basically only time its populr is when hxl bring their annoying listeners.

I can tell you that's not the case. There are a certain amount of spaces open for staff, so it's not about, you're a mate so you can work there", as to get a job you need to be recommended by several staff. Also, the staff there at the moment are all very active and always willing to help. As for events, there are some planned so keep your eyes open
