Only place to buy: O2.
Unless you try eBay but they can be dodgy and stuff, unless you got a decent seller.
Pros: Nice large screen, high-res, free web from a year when bought PAYG with O2, free web on contract, looks good, loads of apps from app store ect ect. Syncs with iTunes so you can put all your music on easily
cons: mms support, copy and paste and video camera coming in 3.0 in July, 2MP camera, lack of vital features in places.

iPhone 3.0 will work on all current and new iPhone's, but a new iPhone is pretty much proven to be coming out at the same time around the release of iPhone OS 3.0

i would. the new ipod touches went down from 270 to 220, im not too sure on the iphone price but the contract went down i believe.

not looking for a contract. got the n95 on contract already, and by the end of the 18 months it's like 700+ pounds we're talking for the iphone lol.
