There's an amazing program called WavePad. I use that for edited music files to be amazingly funny

    Download link: http://www.nch.com.au/wavepad/

Once you have it installed, import your file with "Open File".
Then it'll automaticly start playing. Stop it. Scroll to the beginning of the music file.
Above it there will be a toolbar of weird icons. In the middle there will be a 'Amplify' icon. Use it. 100% = Same, 200% = x2 Volume, so on and so on.

Once you're done editing it, save it back with the same name, and you're done!

    Hope this helps

Remember, you can't make it much more than x3, because it will start to degrade in quality.

Download this program, its called audacity, it lets you edit music , and then play it back etc, you can do a number of things with it. Just download it and have a play with it, its what most colleges / schools use for their music students

+100 would just bring the volume to the top that it was created with. It'd be +200 for x2 volume.

    No it doesn't.

I rip the songs off the CD onto itunes. Thats the normal volume. I right click and go into options, and increase the volume +100. It makes it louder.

You're going to ruin the levels and the quaility of the track if you increase it too much.

Yeh, I find around x2.5 starts to ruin it, x3 is terrible.

Would the answer be to buy songs rather than illegally download them
