I'm not assuming such, I just think it's dangerous to a department to be able to say "we don't have to be behind the bars" as well as "we don't have to be working if we're not behind the bars" - logically the two together don't bode well for work rate. It's really not an inconvenience to move to certain spaces as a way of proving that you're there, and it's a safeguard for you and your staff who then (assuming they DON'T go afk behind desk) can't be said to be inactive. So if we're enforcing rules, which is what a lot of the work is now because people seem to be causing more trouble than before, we must be behind the desk to do this else we aren't "working". Staff have been behind the desk a lot more since this thread was made so there have been some positive response to it. However you can't assume that staff do nothing and are always afk when they aren't behind the desk.
No, we're not behind the desk as much as we used to be. Yes, we are still behind the desk. No, it's not required as much as it was then (yes, I do dare mention this fact again). Not picking on you here, I know this has been said a few times so just quoting yours because it's closest
But yeah the problem with this is that if staff are allowed to be afk as long as they aren't behind the desk, and they don't have to be behind the desk if they don't want to be, that pretty much suggests that staff theoretically don't actually have to do anything other than be a presence and click the screen every 15 minutes. I'm well aware that the idea is that the room's more of a "chill" area, but I think that if staff are to appear to actually have a job and be professional then only time spent behind the bar should really count as time at work, else this loophole can always be used as an excuse. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't inconvenience anyone to have a requirement of a certain amount of time behind desk, and could then be used to quite easily counter any of these arguments.
There are no staff who are AFK all the time and just look at the screen to click. This staff member would be noticed almost straight away and would get a poor attendance report at the end of the week. Also, there's not many seats behind the bar. There's not enough room for all the staff. When we had a larger staff area there was usually more staff behind the bar (and there was an AFK section for AFK staff).
I'm not crazy, ask my toaster.

Like as people have said, sometimes we're brb, sometimes there's other things going on an we cant always be looking at habbo
Why is the staff amount so limited?

Because now we're more moderating the room, instead of helping
Yes, helping is our main priority, but socialising is what the room is now mainly used for
Hence there is no need for large staff ammounts
The point of the help desk is for the staff to help which they do. It is also there if your board and want fun. Also its there so others can show the staff that they are good for the job.
I think the help desk is fine
