as i said in one of the other 583 threads about lady gaga, she's better than most white female pop singers right now, but that ain't saying much. i mean she's a step up from katy perry, that's for sure. but she's got yet to prove she's original and creative as her fans like to claim. but i'll give her the benifit of the doubt, she could branch out with her future endeavors. it isn't uncommon for artists to construct their debut songs as to be able to fit with the mold of the mainstream to sell records, thus being able to gain artistic freedom with their label (see: radiohead). but she will certainly have to ditch her image if she wants to remain relevant in even just a few years time.
