Well they probably didn't want to risk the slightest chance of him setting of a bomb in London.

tru BUT the only proof they had ov him being a terrerist iz he cam outas tht ouse n 2 me i dont think thts enough to kill sum1 n if he was carrying a bomb couldn't he ov set it off while he was running from the police?
Well, I think he obviously wanted to get away, but I don't think the police would shoot and kill an innocent person, let alone just a suspect. I think they knew that he was a terrorist, and 1 person dead may be bad, but it's better then dozens.

Well he was drawing so much attention to his-self it only raises suspician. You can't blame the police. If I was the police officer I probably would have done the same
A single shot in the lower chest, suspect falls *click* *boom* 50 more people dead.Originally Posted by Annihillating

They shot him 5 times in the back of the head obviously they had to be sure he had no chance of a reaction. Although I agree 5 times is a little excessive.
Family of shot man want answers The family of a Brazilian man shot and killed by police in London on Friday have been speaking about his death.
Police have said they "regret" the death of 27-year-old Jean Charles de Menezes at Stockwell Tube station, admitting it is a "tragedy".
The man's grandmother said there "was no reason to think he was a terrorist".
The Brazilian was shot a day after a series of failed bomb attacks in London, but police have confirmed he was completely unconnected to them.
Two other men have been arrested and are being questioned after bombers targeted three Tube trains and a bus.
And police added that a package found at an Underground station in north-west London on Saturday may have been linked to the attacks.
The Brazilian foreign minister will speak to the UK Foreign Secretary Jack Straw on Sunday to find out more about what happened.
Mr Menezes' cousin, Alex Alves Pereira, from London described him as a "person full of life" and said his cousin was "a victim of government's mistakes."
In a statement earlier Scotland Yard said: "For somebody to lose their life in such circumstances is a tragedy and one that the Metropolitan Police Service regrets."
The shooting is being investigated by officers from Scotland Yard's Directorate of Professional Standards, and will be referred to the Independent Police Complaints Commission.
