I don't know, i think they have contracts etc with manufacturers.I think it's weird how they use all kind of different manufacturers for their boxes. Why don't they just stick to (at least at a time). What are the Pace ones like? I know the Thompson ones are apparently quite problematic. Also I've seen a lot of discussion about the MiniTV (PIP) spoiling programs by showing the end of one of your recordings. I don't quite understand what everyone is on about. Why would the MiniTV show the end of a program? :S
And you can disable the mini-tv anyways, so there's no problem realy.
Yeah I know they have contracts but why would they sign up with so many different manfs? lol. And are you sure? Everyone AVforums is moaning about the new EPG's not having a feature to turn the Mini-TV off.
Well we signed up a month ago, and got told 3 months then. Email through yesterday, 7-12 weeks so it's practically still 2-3 months LOL.
That went fast.
The new EPG doesn't look the best.. from what I've seen I think the old one looks a lot better, it resembles a crappy freeview guide.
nope, if you go on sky anytime, there's a vid all about the new guide, and i'm sure it says you cna disable it
I seen a video what got posted a few month back on DigitalSpy from Sky News, it's good because it's got a section for HD Channels but the display while viewing the guide sucks, theres no need for that.. when you can flick through and see what is on that channel in a few hours with just the arrows (Don't know the actual term for that view lol). But the episode guide is what I liked the most about sky.. it beat all the other ones.
I don't use Sky that much, it's downstairs but still..lol.
