G20 Protests. Harse On The Police.

In the past week the media have blitzed the police force for appranently lashing out at "innocent" protestors. But the media haven't mentioned the how hard the job was for the police. Imagine having to be there and have 1000's of people shouting abusive language at you. The tactics they used to control the protestors are what are taught to them from their senior officers but when the tactics are used they realise they have no right to use these tactics. That's not the police officers fault, it's the senior officers fault.

Also, even though it is sad that he past away from internal bleeding, the man who was hit by police whilst walking away isn't completly innocent. Minutes before he was hit he stood in front of a riot van and refused to move. Also when he carried on walking he was doing it incredibly slowly which must have angered the policemen and women. This is no excuse for what they did but its what the media haven't told you.

Also, the woman who came forward yesterday after being hit by the police is completly in the wrong. In the video where a policeman hits her legs with a baton she is shown shouting abuse at him and pointing at him. She claims she was calmly saying it just like in her TV interview which clearly proves that she is a great actress. Also she has recieved almost £50,000 in compensation already which some may see as right but seen as she is an un-employed ex-cocaine and herion addict is her story really that true.

Decide what side you want but without the tactics they used the outcome could have been much worse. Next time their is a G20 protest, the police will probably be there with no weapons or protection ... let's just see how that goes.

Dam! I wouldn't like a Job as a Riot Police person that would be scary and Ardemax one Policeman was actually punished when he thrown Ian Thompsan to the ground when he was walking home from work. I've also seen a couple of Police Officers been suspended when they hit a woman like you said and a few when they pushed Ian Thompsan to the ground then later died sadly. I think the Riot people though are able to hand this sort of this because when you get this kind of Job you obviously need to be big and strong like when you get an work experiance as i'm doing Brick Laying when i leave school so obviously Connexions told me you need to be big and strong to do this kind of Job!

I take it this is about the bank protest? It's a load of nonsense frankly. A load of students and tax dodgers who just want something to rebel against to be cool go along not even knowing the facts but hating that banks are getting money (despite the fact that they aren't losing anything themselves and it's only because of banks that they have their student loans and giro payments) and cause trouble. These are the same sorts of people who think it's ultra rebellious to smoke and take drugs (I have nothing against either of these things, but don't make a big deal of yourself doing it..) and go around saying how much they hate the police and "the establishment" all the time. Basically, they are idiots and deserve everything they get. The police did as they should have done

Whoever devised the tactics of penning people in should be sacked from the job, and any officers who lashed out at protestors inthe ways shown should also be sacked. Although the protestors were arguing and hurling abuse, it's no suprise seeing and hearing how they were treated. It was awfully planned out. Another reason why Britain should be nuked, we're dreadful And as Jesush said, half the protestors were protesting for the sake of protesting, and just wanted to cause damage. THere was no reason to destroy windows of the RBS Group building, it put the protestors to shame if anything :/ If people were shouting at the TV edging them on, then they're imbesiles.

You can't blame them though, and the police are equally not keeping the peace. The protesters weren't given a right to protest properly, it sounds as if they were fenced off and backed into a corner, not allowed to go get food, leave or even drink, so it's understandable. If the rumours of children, men and women being attacked just for walking passed are true, then the police get what's coming to them.
