Okay so I personally love being ahead of the charts and having songs before other people . For example I heard Lady Gaga 'Just Dance' around the end of 2007 even though she has only recently come to light.

So I thought I'd post all the chart websites and new releases lists in case you wonder how some people know their music way before others!

If youre into rap I can hit you up with links so you can get the albums/singles or whatever before they even release.. I get pretty much every rapsong by Kanye West, Common, Kid Cudi, Wale and so on before its actually released to the internet.
I got Asher Roths Asleep in the braid aisle on the 14th april.. it released 20th.
I got Kid cudis Day n Nite in December 2007, released in february 2008.
I got the brand new Clipse ft. Kanye West - Kinda Like a Big Deal before it was dropped on Clipses blog (playcloths.com/blog) which it was supposed to do.
And the list goes on..

I recommend blogs and forums to find music early due to leaks but I see what you mean because for some reason the UK seems to get international hits wayyy after other countries so charts are also useful.

nah, i dont need billboard charts. thats silly. pitchfork.com updates me on everything i want to know. they dont post things about leaks, cause that'd be a tad unprofessional, but if i'm really interested in an album i can always just google it for leaks. not very hard.

im pumped for the new clipse album. the only thing is they arent working only with the neptunes for production this time. HHNF was all neptunes and every beat was just ridiculous good. but then again this time theyre working with timbaland, kanye, diddy, and rick ruben. i bet it'll be good haha.

yeah pitchfork put up a link to it a day or two ago. i was really excited when i saw it, cause ive been listening to a lot of clipse lately and i naturally love kanye, but i actually wasn't too impressed with it. like you said, i was really expecting something awesome.

why do you think artists dislike their music being leaked if no-one gets the leaks?

i was jsut saying you were making it out as if you are the only person to get music before it's released when actually practically everything leaks and a lot of people get leaks.
