Well on the basis that he's had it for such a long time and it hasn't caused any serious issues I dont think they would do anything. But I'm not totally sure..

Unless it was a risk to your health I don't think they would do anything about it, no. Even if they did it would take forever to get anything done given the lack of severity. Just get it done privately if it's something you're seriously considering.

Other than that I really don't know, it's not so bad, it could of been worse. If I had it I wouldn't be bothered to be honest, and I don't think surgery is an option (unless it's paaainful). I have a bent nose where I got kicked in the face and I get along just fine.
