No, this can spread globally EXTREMELY quickly. No-one has 100% knowledge on this virus so they can't garenteen a the anti-viral will continue working as it mutates and changes. This they said can hit in waves and can even go on for 18+ months.

Yeah 36000 die in the US from the flu but this can kill tons more.

Developing countrys are at a high risk because they can't afford to buy the anti-virals, so it has the possibility of killing millions in the poorer countrys.

When you get a cold you dont run to your doctor, I have never gone to a doctor when I've got a cold and don't know anyone who has. When you have the flu then its different. This is stronger than the cold and flu.

Also if you have the flu, it doesn't infect the whole community your in, this can... very easily.

in essence, im saying that its similar to the common cold in terms of how quickly it's able to spread and infect people, and that its pretty much untreatable...

Yeah but its not as spreadable as this. Like I said if you had the cold it wouldn't affect a lot of people in your community as much as this would.

Wait...what?! I think you are mixing the Common Cold and Influenza up, or for some reason you think they're the same..
Influenza can spread just as fast as the Swine Flu, but we have vaccinations for it (aka the Flu jab).
