I agree with you partly, they just don't believe it because it seems unreal and don't fully understand the situation. Atleast the sensible people on this forum understand.

They don't raise these things for the sake of it or because the media make it seem like its the end of the world. It's because its deadly, scientists know little about it, spreading fast. It hasn't kill as much as predicted yet because its the beginning. It has now proven that you don't need to be in-contact with someone in Mexico or been to Mexico to get the virus.

You know a pandemic doesnt have to kill to be devastating...

Imagine, 30 million people with flu, less people at work, shops not opening, deliveries not being made, doctors ill, police ill, firemen ill... Etc...

Yeah, that's what I think some people don't realise. A pandemic relates to how much a disease can spread, not the severity of it.

Believe what? That there is a flu going around and killing healthy normal people. Yes, its happening. We shouldn't be all going mad and booking work off but we should be concerned about it. Especially its one level away from the highest one.

So that's nice, so the boy in the USA doesn't count? Yeah surely he visited Mexico. I'm guessing the next few days or next week will truly tell us about the virus. I just hope it doesn't get any worse.

Well, if your hygienic and wash your hands every so often. You shouldn't be really worried. I know what you are trying to say but you can get all sorts for touching dirty surfaces, we just have to be concerned. "Not just anyone who believes in this = shame on you". Because that is not the right way to go about it.

I didn't want what this guy said in the other thread to go un noticed as I think it makes a very good point. So far no one who has not visited Mexico have died for the Virus (the girl/guy from the US had just come back from Mexico).

I didn't say anybodys death was more important than anyone elses.. I'm just not going to change my life style or start to get worried until things come closer to home. The person from the US who died had just come back from Mexico though like people from the UK so we just have to wait and see

Also, saying "people who don't believe in it deserve it" is discusting. Don't play the double negative game, because it just makes you eligible in getting it too.
