Are you being serious? That is AWFUL
I love the stage, hello furni? WHY? Makes the room look VERY cheap from the word go.
I think you need to seriously think about getting some to design it who's good at this kind of thing :S

The idea was to get furni to actually match. The stage was already set up when I got there and the flooring at the time was brown and white tiling which really didn't work. When I left it there was a cobbled floor which I still think would look better than the current exec and the hello furni was chosen as it matches the colours (or lack thereof) of the stage and looked like seating might be in a concert hall. There were also tiles under the chairs so it didn't look quite so bland, the walls were different and the area with the CD stacks was differently decorated - I believe it looked much better in the planning room, there are a fair few subtle but damaging differences that have been made since then. Not too sure why but there you go.

@Oli: I did say to get director chairs but Jack said there's only 10 in the whole hotel or something and I'm not up on these things so took his word for it
    Yeah lets blame Jack.

That bad, its completely ugly, i don't see why eurovision has anything to do with habbox so theres no need for a help desk for have it. Different for like christmas/easter etc but a bloody crap program on tv? :S

Simpsons season 21 or something CAN WE PLZ GET A LAYOUT 4 IT?!?!?!!!?!?!!? no

    Yes, as you've figured it's ugly :}

Rather than just doing it for Eurovision, it's the message behind Eurovision that we are trying to capture - being able to have fun together without all the childish and stupid behaviour thats going on. With all the people coming into the desk and taking advantage of our good nature, it's something that they should try and forget for a while and actually have a little bit of fun while they're in the desk.

All the furni donated by others (including myself) for other hxhd layouts could be sold and something better than that, dont forget we donated that furni to habbox, nots sammeths pocket (I am not saying it is, i am just stating btw, to get it clear, i knw sam isnt a noob)

You told me it made you want to puke....
Okay I really didn't understand much of your post but from what I can gather you're claiming donations go to me (goodness knows why, I don't use Habbo other than to check up with my departments). Any furniture that has specifically been donated to HxHD for layouts has always been used like that. We get large HC donations, or large credit donations, or just normal donations that are either still in my donations rooms or have already been used as prizes elsewhere. Rather than selling on previous layouts, we keep them ready and waiting in case we want to use them in a layout again - makes sense.

As explained earlier, rather than focusing on how "cheap" something is, or making the conclusion that that it's cheap it instantly looks cheap, it fits into the theme of the room and it represents stadium seating or concert hall seating, and actually fits into colours and theme of the room. It's what it's supposed to resemble rather than what it cost to get.

I presume the Sunday after Eurovision it will be taken down and returned to normal?

(The idea was good just didn't turn out very well )
It will be taken down on the 17th May (16th technically but we usually do layout changes around midnight)

    Again with the cheapness!

At the end of the day it's just a bit of fun. We had the stage all ready and waiting and then we just needed to go from there, there was a team involved in the process and I think the team did a good job for what its supposed to resemble. It hasn't (and shouldn't) stop anyone from actually using the desk - in fact its drawn some of you in just so you can complain! It won't be around forever so I think everyones over reacting just a tad. A layout of a specific room on Habbo isn't going to damage Habbox's reputation or cause people major distress. If it does, then I think that says a lot more about the person than it does about Habbox.

Enjoy it while you can! We can never do enough! Everyone focuses on "omg such a bad layout" but neglect to mention what the amazing staff are doing up until the 16th - daily quizzes, chances to win VIP. It's a lot of nice stuff, it just comes with a theme. Maybe we can all be optimistic (if that's possible in these parts, I see it so rarely I've almost forgotten what optimism is) and focus on the good things that come with it, rather than dragging the mood down and focusing too much on a simple TEMPORARY layout.
    Sammeth.

The smart idea was using beginner furni - letting new Habbos they can make a nice room using the furni they get.
It's not meant to be a party room it's for eurovision, did you not realise that it's a holiday :S:S

    "Hello" furni *shudders*.

erm, I quite like the stage area, the lights are cool e.c.t. but further back I'm sorry I don't like. maybe some cool sofa's would have been good as seating idk.

    Not bad tho

I have my views and opinions on this, and when I try to put them across inside the helpdesk, I am drowned out by moans of "I'M GONNA PUKE!!" from people who expect me to say "I'LL HOLD YOUR HAIR BACK" rather than "I don't think it's that bad."

I think it's all quite nice and fun, and the colours match. Maybe it's not glitzy and glamourous and you find it a bit cheap and nasty - since when was Eurovision a classy competition? At the end of the day, all we wanted to do was create a nice fun atmosphere inside the desk, with an area for people to dance and sing on, which will also be used for the fabulous events we have coming up.

I personally think that some people are failing to appreciate the fact that we're trying to do something nice for everyone and giving away a few prizes here and there and celebrating something which is fun and cheesy and happy, even if it's not a holiday like Christmas, Valentines or Easter.

It'll all be over next Sunday after the UK wins .

Perhaps a wallpaper change plus a change in the bars + staff seating would be an improvement.

But its also may be difficult for Sam and co to find things that fit, and enough of it, it can be a real pain in the arse sometimes

They definitely deserve credit for making the effort to bring something new, even if you don't like it they spent a lot of time and effort designing something to try and do something exciting for the users and its kind of rude to be like *THROWZ UP* especially given that when I was owner people were complaining about how little I changed the desk look.

You can not like it, and you can give constructive criticism, but don't attack people and at least thank them for the effort they put in.

You wouldn't really have any idea that's a help desk if it wasn't in the title. The room is alright I guess but I don't see why we're making the stage more the focus than the 'help' or whatever. Bleh.
