This would be completely different than gender differences.
It would be a completely new system, like natures, IV's, alternate coloration.

Im going to buy another DS or maybe a DSi. I'd really like to play this one seeing as G/S/C were my favourite Pokémon games. I've recently replayed Yellow as well as downloading the OST for R/Y/B and it's got me back into it. I also think I still have my copy of Pearl with like 70 Level 100 Pokemon and all the legendaries. So Im temporarily using that with my sisters pink DS ;P

I don't see how anyone can prefer the or original games, for starters, every game is exactly the same. The older games on Gameboy are just intolerable, I hate the game mechanics. In Red/Blue you can't even run, and it's ages until you get the bike.

I have to agree with you there. While I liked Red/Blue, they have to be my least favourite handheld Pokemon games. I don't really understand why everyone says they're the best. I had Pokemon Blue and everything in the game just looked so bland and colourless it drove me crazy. Even small things like the xp bars increasing aren't in the original games. They lack so much. The best ones were Gold/Silver and Sapphire/Ruby in my opinion. There was just so much to do in Sapphire/Ruby and Hoenn was a nice place to explore (I have nearly 400 hours of play time on Pokemon Ruby O.O). Same goes for Gold/Silver. Although Gold/Silver had one huge advantage over Sapphire/Ruby...

Hell yes. I will buy a DS purely for HeartGold/SoulSilver if Red battles you at Mt. Silver again. I wish the Pokemon games were a little harder though. He was the hardest person in the game but if you had a couple of lvl 100s (like any fan should) he was pretty easy.
