And who would choose the most boring parts out of the game? TO put into a movie.

The best parts were sub-standard... Name the best parts, because I remember playing it and the "best parts" were average and generic at best. The film industry do not want typical action flicks, they prefer a bit of creativity nowadays.

Niko comes to america works a taxi for abit gets offered to do a drug run does it

gets contacts with russian mafia

kills the russian guys partner

roman gets kidnapped

niko saves him and kills like 100 people

they both get out alike

romans taxi place is burnt down

niko helps rebuild it

niko meets a girl

niko and the girls brother rob a bank and escape

niko has to choose at the end to work with the russian guy or kill him

niko chooses...

That's not a film, that's a short story :/ If you show that to someone they'll fall asleep just thinking about a film, if they get that far... Also, that's not the good bits of the game, that's the storyline. The good bits are what happens within the storyline, what happens during a chase, how does whoever get killed? Etc etc. It would be generic dribble, nothing amazing.

No no, only the best stuff out of the ordinary and away from the obvious, which in the case of GTA is nothing different. I mean like, for example, A chases after B, while B's ally C intercepts and chases after A, causing A to lose B by having to take a detour. Or perhaps a building explodes in High-Def glory blocking the road? Something like that.

Some stories deserve to be on the big screen - Bioshock and Shadow of the Colossus for example - but some like GTA IV are terrible stories and to make it appealing to most of the audience: you'd have to balls.

I didn't write about GTA IV but I did a week on the Lost and Damned and constantly referred to GTA IV. But that was obviously because I hate it's guts.
