I've got an iPod Touch and there isn't a hope in hell of me getting an iPhone. It's fine as an MP3 Player with additional features, but IMHO, not a phone.

I have an iPod Touch, but since day one of getting it, I've always wanted to upgrade to an iPhone, mainly for the 3G. I think I'l wait til' at most christmas for a new model, otherwise I'l just get a 3G.

And that sir is why you are in complete denial because you really cannot compare the iTouch with the iPhone as they are two completely different things.
Errrr, no they aren't? They both run iPhone OS 2.0 they both have the same screen resolution etc. The iPhone is like the iPod Touch but with more features.
Ones a phone, ones a multi-media device, duh.
You can't compare the two unless you own or have owned both, like me.![]()
The thing is with people saying that the iPhone is "overrated" is that it's not overrated at all - it really is that good.
The menus and scrolling through stuff is just so flawless and beautiful, and it is so easy to use and there is so much you can do with it, that being extended further with the release of the App Store.
I've had my 3G since Christmas '08 and I thought the same thing as you, that I'd be bored with it by now. But I'm definitely not, I love it. And people I know who also have iPhones love it too - iPhone isn't just a device but it's almost a community too, which sounds kinda weird but people with iPhones tend to have mutual interests and tastes. I wouldn't change my iPhone for the world. I'm positive they were bringing out a new iPhone for version 3.0 in the summer but if they're not, they'll almost definitely have one in time for Christmas.
Problem is, it's the truth, and by the way, who calls it an "iTouch"? It's an iPod Touch.
THANK YOU.
1. Your bragging?
2. The iPhone is an iPod Touch with two extra bloody silicon chips in, one for phone and one for GPS (obviously not true, but you get what I mean), both are multi-media devices, both run iPhone OS.
This is why the iPhone succeeded, Apple stole a load of ideas phones have had (and still have but the iPhone doesn't) and made them very nice to use. It's what Apple does and thats fine, I wouldn't say no to an iPhone if I was offered one, but at the same time im just as happy with my T-Mobile G1.The thing is with people saying that the iPhone is "overrated" is that it's not overrated at all - it really is that good.

Now your making it sound as if your married to it or something.I've had my 3G since Christmas '08 and I thought the same thing as you, that I'd be bored with it by now.
