Ah right, then it is inexcusable I had this idea that whoever is in charge disliked the idea of Management having such rights, due to trust issues (even though if you have people at the top, they should be trustable and it's not like a rogue manager is going to do much damage). A simple message should of been posted, no news could of meant hackings, domains expiring, server crashes, vB fraud squads and anything. Tis better to elimate speculation, rather than let people feed off it. It doesn't even have to be the FM, anyone could of done it really. If no-one is in the know, then anyone could post the information. Relying on Jin, which in itself is a bit difficult most of the time anyway, isn't a good idea.

Yeah I didn't specifically say the FM, any manager should be able to.

Actually Matt does not have access to Habbox Today as it has not yet been sorted. I have access however as I was away at the time the Forum was down I was not aware there was an issue. Of course I may not have posted anything on Habbox even if I was online, the fact is we all make mistakes and we learn from them - we will learn from this situation and that is the most important thing we can do. Again, if I was not away at the time I may well have ventured to HxHD however you cannot expect a member of management to spend their whole day on Habbo telling people that the Forum will be back asap. I do not disagree that perhaps we could of done more in the situation and I can assure you that we will make sure we do our best to make people aware of what is going on in as best we can in the future.

So it's all the users who were trying to log on to HxF fault? No. That problem that you tried to use as an excuse is just another fault of management. He has been forum manager for a while. His hx.com permissions should have been set up. I think that is bomb-heads job so it's hardly a shock that it hasn't been set up, lol.

I was in HxHD, in fact Lost_Witness came in to ask why it was down so he's my back up yeah! I must admit I do have access to HxToday but it completely passed my mind. But at the end of the day now its been bought up we can make sure it doesn't happen in the future. Rather than keep hanging onto what should have happened, as we've already been told what should have happened a million times, focus more on the fact we've now said that will change and won't happen again. If we keep hanging onto the past it will never die and it gets to the stage where it isnt even helpful anymore. We get it!

Edit: Actually I just tried logging into Habbox and I can't, blates could have used that as an excuse instead of my darn truthtelling :@

I find the fact Lost_witness asking funny because once I was asking him questions about fansites when I was AGM. I asked if he used HxF and he tried to be all sarcastic by saying "I only use official fansites ". What a liar!

I don't see what dif it made if Sammeth. or for that fact any department manager posted, as they had no idea why it was down, so imho a post from someone who had no clue about any of it wouldn't help in any way, however, if they put for example what nvr done and said he contacted sierk/jin to get the problem sorted, if he posted that on the hx today then it would be better.

It isn't anyone's fault, lol. Mistakes were made and I will quite happily admit that but as Sammeth. said there is little point in consistently pursuing it - we realise that we could of done more and we will do in the future. .

I was in there in the morning, which is when Lost_Witness asked, and also in the evening. Unfortunately, as amazing as it sounds(!) I couldn't be in there for the whole day, and HxHD Staff and other users knew just about as much as me on the issue so me along with them could only say "Its down due to unforeseen circumstances" which doesn't really help as much as you would think as people still ask what the unforeseen circumstances are, and then speculate what they could be etc etc. Its just a never ending circle.

And @Titch, staff always look at fansites! Obviously not signed up, but they're always looking

staff do sign up to fansites, i know Andy (evolution) had 1-2 uk staff, HHGS has 2 uk staff and 1 CA staff signed up. they just dont use their Habbo names but the emails were all verified ect :]

If mistakes are made there is always some at fault. Purposefully or not. I'm pushing it because things weren't handled right and as a paying user I have every right to publish my concerns.

That's good then at least spreading the message. Would have been good if HxHD staff were in there calming the situation down also.

In general, I'm perfectly aware that it can't be changed now but at the end of the day it was pretty dire. A note should have been posted and by pursuing this point it will ensure such poor communication doesn't happen in the future.

The fact is that none of the managers knew why it was down, so any rumour could of been true (obviously staff should be smarter than to believe anything that you say) and it would look very smart if they posted that a rumour was wrong when it was indeed right, also i'm sure managers would beleive its their position to post about technical faults when their nothing to do with the technical staff on the site and have no idea why its down.

However, it's poor that nobody took control of the situation. They've already admitted they're in the wrong and will change it next time by alerting other people so I have no idea where you're going.
