Whats more intimate kissing or sex?

Hey,
this comes from a random debate spreading round my flat, Which is more intimate kissing or sex?

My first thought was sex but others disagree, so decided to do a poll on it as the Internet failed to provided. Please vote

It depends on who it's with, kissing someone you really like will be much more intimate than having sex with someone you have no feelings for.

I would say a kiss! Sex isn't always intimate, some people just have sex for sex and no feelings are required even though there should be. I think you can tell a lot through a kiss, sex isn't always that enjoyable if there's no love between you but when it comes to kissing I guess it shows your feelings more. I suppose it really matters who it's with.

What about kisses that mean nothing though? Most people have kissed more people than they've had sex with I'd imagine. With either it depends on the situation and what the person means to you.
I've had both sex and kisses with people I haven't cared about, and I guess it's the type of kiss that sets it apart - generally if you have random sex with someone you don't particularly care about you're not likely to give them a gentle kiss on the forehead with a good morning smile. I'd still say sex is more intimate though, as psychologically it acts on people more.

Yea, i thought that originally, but i've got the same poll running on facebook with totally reversed results lol, all the guys seem to think kissing is more intimate :p

I think it may be down to the fact they think people may be able to see what they voted (although it is still anonymous :rolleyes: lol)
