Why not do a hfx forum skin comp?

Noticing all the skin threads around, i was wondering why habbox dont just hold a forum skinning competition and let the users give it a go :p

I know at least two who'd be interested, and this is without asking anyone :p

Its no secret habboxforum doesn't really have decent non-habbo skin and would be nice to get a new one (Currently i'm just restyling the default skin with stylish lol)

For simplicity just limit it to a css stylesheet, banner image and optional forum images (post markers ect), add a clause that none will be used if none are up to scratch, and with some luck a few decent developers may come out the woodwork and provided you with somthing quite nice without any real work being need on your end

Only thing is they've got a banner competition and I think it's for all skins??? Would be slightly pointless making new skins if they're updating the others unless I've got the wrong end of the stick :S I still think it's a good idea though, I'd rather we got new ones than try make the other ones better because they're getting boring Anyway, habbox will only be gaining by doing so so why not

Well not to replace any of the current ones, but simply to add yet another alternative. Habbox staff are mostly pretty habbo oriented people, so habbo skins there good at. None habbo skins though, in my opinion at least, have generally been a bit of a flop. So getting some of the members to have a crack of it my finally get a decent skin for this nesh :p

Evidently (evidence being a) number of clients/money earned b) others opinions and excessive praise c) clear skill) devotedesigns doing a skin (Me + Xarea + Harry) would be one of the industry standard.

Yeah I'm big headed and admittedly some of the dd team are but it's true We excel at designs and skins (well and hosting/support!).

Anyway, it's a good idea but if it's limited to what the current habbox skins are then it's somewhat pointless. I know Habbox is security-savvy but popular and secure boards (no, I'm not on about Habbo ones) have very custom skins and still have never been compromised. It's a case of having technically skilled administrators (e.g. Jin) or people who can make sure the skins work with updated by working on them via test forums.
