I will be using mine for lectures and the current 13" feels a lil small for me to be typing lots of notes etc.Yeah it's kinda small but it depends what you're doing with it. I'm planning on using mine as a desktop computer at home (just need enough money for monitor, cables & a keyboard and mouse) and using it as a laptop for college. Spaces comes in quite handy if you're worrying about space.

If you wanna get the smaller hard drive and bigger screen go with the 13" and get a monitor and Apple display wire. (I have no clue what its called but you can buy it from the Apple Store)
