edit: play.com is really good, free P&P + very fast delivery

Instead of picking every fault it would be nice to say what I will need

And aout the GCSE I was just backing up a point.

No that monitor can not be used as a TV in the traditional sense as such.

    The graphics cards:

    4850 - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/168023
    4870 - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/155497
    4870 1GB - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/164557
    4890 - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/167969

I recommend the 4870 or above, but it's up to you it's your PC.

Decided to remove in case a mod decided it was 'causing an argument'

Edit2: Decided to 'slightly off centre text' him (Facepalm)

    Cheers Nick.

    Any help on RAM?

    (E.G. Reliable etc)

    EDIT: Looking for cd/dvd drives.

    This one good enough?

    http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139985 (Blu-Ray and HDdvd drive)

Then I will buy a cheaper one to go with it?

    Cheers.

If your wanting to use the Moniter as a TV, your best bets simply to buy a tv-tuner card for the pc. You can then use ether the bundled software or windows media center (bundled in vista/7) to play and watch tv as you please. Recording / pauseing and all the added extras can also be easily added at the software level with this method.

Only downside is the pc needs to be on to play tv, and you may end up with msn/skype going in the background :p

Short of that though you would have to buy a dedicated tv and use it as a moniter, rather than a monitor to use as a tv else it wouldnt come with the tv tuner needed to decode the signals its sent. For primarly pc usage though i'd recommend having a proper moniter over a flat panel tv, they support much nicer resolutions
