Well what do you expect.. funerals/public memorials aren't really fun.

They did say at the beginning that the family reiterated that it was a 'public memorial' and not a 'TV show'.

Obiously it's not meant to be fun, and live, like everyone else said. It's a funeral/public memorial for God's sake. Although, I don't find it boring.
