All fair and well, but what's the point of having those speeds if Virgin do alot of searching for illegal downloading? They're one of the worst companies for it.
Im on a virgin 20mb package. Fresh test with nothing else running I get.. :

althought it does get really low sometimes, when we got it they done a test on the line they said we could get 8 seems to say 6 now. Ring sky get them to test your line?

No, it clearly states on Sky.com you can get up to (up to being the key words) 20mb. Your service is fine and is just a limitation of slow asdl.
I pay for up to 50mbps, I get 50mbps, one of the glories of being on FTTC.

The point of having virgin is for fast internet thats reliable and you actually get the speeds it says.
Unlike some people i dont usually download illegal files so its not a problem for me.
Shame I can't get Virgin in East London
