Default Am I getting 20MB? (Sky)

Bare in mind I'm torrenting though, some times when I click status on the connection it says 41.0 mbps, does that mean I would be getting 20 or more? I just don't wanna be ripped off like BT done, they always say you get 8mb when you don't

We're with Sky's 20mb package so I'm just wondering. I'll pause the downloads for a sec to see if download changes from 12.04mb/s and if the upload changes from
    0.49mb/s.

    Your getting 12MB.

that 41Mbps is your wireless connection's internal speed, not internet speed.

It was 17 at one point, does it change constantly? Such as if I download, I presume if I leaved the connection to cool for a while it'd restore to the proper speed test results?

It's pissing me off, constantly changing.

I shouldn't consider myself lucky, I'm gonna ring Sky and get it sorted, if I pay for 20mb I want 20 not 12

You should ring them and get them to sort it.

If you looks on the website it says "up to 20MB" not "You will get 20MB" If you live very near the exchange and there is nobody else on it you may get 20MB.

That's misleading then, you buy a package for 20mbs, not incase you may get 20mbs, we wanted the 16 which is the broadband max, they then said we can get 20, but I'm not.
