Also, I'm going away next week, if I am going to buy one with spending money so I can watch things, they can support videos can't they?

Do they have an airplane mode too? They probably do because people would use them as an iPod aswell but I just need someone to confirm these things.
You get 12 months free internet access with them when you purchase them on pay as you go. But you're gona have trouble getting one within the next couple of weeks - I bought mine and theres a faulty battery, the shops had to put in writing we'll get a new one when it's in stock, even when the 28 days expire.

Ye is does have aeroplane mode.

Need anything else just pm me

EDIT: You can jail break it allowing you to go on other networks (or so im told), but i know it invalidates your warranty.,

I don't think they'll be able to tell if you just restore it and reinsert your O2 sim.

Okay thanks for clearing that up, because my mum bought her 1G to a phone shop and they reckoned it wasn't capable to unblock, but if I use one of these programmes I could unblock it? Is it fairly easy to do?

You won't get it unlocked at a phone shop, atleast not in the UK. Yeh it's easy to do, there are many guides around that will show you how to, the best are over at iClarified.

    Good luck .

    Thanks, I've bookmarked that link

Is that battery life on 3GS good? My dad has a 3G and he's constantly moaning about the battery dying, it could be because he has a few apps and uses it quiet a lot for calls as he owns a business, but are they slightly improved on the 3GS? Because when I go Turkey it's a 4 hour flight and I was planning on watching a few Bear Gryll's, I just hope it doesn't drain too quickly

I've heard the 3GS battery is around the same or a little worse because of some bug in 3.0 or something, but it should in theory last the full 4 hours, any phone nowadays should.

Can MP4's go on iPhone rather than me converting these files twice so my brother can get them onto his iPod?

    MP4 files are what's preferred for iPods/iPhones/iTunes/Quicktime.
