Add me if you play COD Black Ops or Fifa 11.
Virgin media very rarely change your IP address. I have found it only changes when they are doing system maintenance and everybody's IP is reset.
It's an Xandros OS but i think problem is solved...Google is your friend... http://www.linux-noob.com/forums/ind...showtopic=1235

Ye i've tried asking them to change my IP a few times but they have been making up excuses on why they can't change it.
Hmm i think i've changed it, plug everything out of the modem waited for 5 minutes plug it back in, got a Ip coming up 80........ and i'm sure i had 84...... so I'll do it again and see what happens.
Thanks for you help.
Go to a quick website which tells you your current ip address such as this one and then restart your router/modem. Once your router/modem is fully restarted and back online in however many seconds or minutes it takes then refresh that page. If the ip address it gives you changes then viola! Its as simple as that and something I do all the time.
If it doesn't work try turning off your router/modem for more than 30 seconds before restarting it to make sure the connection to your isp times out first, normally you wouldn't have to do this though.
If your ip still doesn't change this means you have a static ip address. The only way to get around this would be to use a proxy if you want to use another ip.
Enjoy! - Dan.

I imagine he'll be using a Scientific Atlanta (Cisco) Cable Modem 2100 if that remotely helps anyone.
