I meant AV inputs, like they do in schools.

AC is Alternating Current, the opposite of DC (Direct Current) and, yes, it is to do with electrics We spent god knows how many lessons on it in GCSE Physics.

I hated eletronics with a passion I can wire small things - I just don't give a crap what it's called I follow the "a rose by any other name would smell just as sweet" analogy (Shakingspear?)

AV cables would of to be within reach, yeah. You can't really get DVD players or consoles that can be stuck on ceilings

I wouldn't want to watch TV laying down all the time, but if it could come out and like hang from the ceiling that would be cool when i want to sit instead.

My parents installed an LCD into their ceiling (jealous me), it was done by having a huge pole connected to the tv run through the ceiling, into the loft, and screwed to a roofing beam.

If you use a longer pole that hangs about a foot underneath ceiling you can get a swivel bracket so you can watch it upright, would look like one of those 4 screens hanging from the roof in the middle of a basketball court.

I wouldn't get one as i'm forever changing my room around.
