Default New (6) HD Channels for Virgin Media!

Finally, Virgin Media are getting HD channels! The first 3 launched today, the rest are launching soon.

In their press release it says:

"FX HD, MTVNHD and National Geographic HD are launching on Virgin Media’s TV platform 30 July 09. ESPN HD will launch on 3rd August, with 4HD and LIVING HD coming soon."

4HD should be good - Hollyoaks in HD!

The bits in bold are them

Also, as a Sky customer they seem a bit old, but then again, both Sky and Virgin are incredibly rubbish companies, so can't really argue for or against

Does anyone know what happened to ITV HD?

They're available on the V+ box. All are XL except 4HD and BBCHD which are on all packages if you have the V+ box.

Skins, Shameless, Hollyoaks are filmed in HD and I watch them. Most of their programs are on there but they are upscaled, which means they are better quality, but not as good as real HD.

Apparently it wasn't worth it, if you look at the schedule, there is only like 1 program a day, if that.

How can you say Sky and Virgin are rubbish? completely the opposite, where would anyone here be without them? we'd be stuck with cut down freeview. (minus all the freeview sky channels.)

ITV HD is exclusive to Freesat for the moment. I suspect that once Freeview goes HD at the end of the year, ITV HD and BBC HD will also be on Freeview, with 4HD as well I'm guessing?

HD is a rip off anyway.
