I did read your other posts ol:. You said that it shows you can play together well as a team against sides like Atletico and Rangers blah, blah, blah. You don't know what's going to happen in the Premiership this season. Fulham and Portsmouth could both beat you twice, you don't know that. Pre-Season is just about fitness and what not. So don't get too excited over beating those kind of teams, especially in PRE-SEASON :rolleyes:.

Yeah I know that there's a chance we can still loose against them but I'm saying that beating these teams in pre-season shows we are in good form and can work well together against decent sides. Yes I know it's pre-season and that neither team was taking it as seriously as they would in the PL and it was mainly for fitness but it does help boost the moral of the team, and I'm not getting 'too excited' . Our problem last season was we got off to a bad start, and we lost against the so called 'lower teams'. Winning in pre-season, even though it doesn't actually mean too much will boost moral and help us beat those two problems but yes I agree with you that it is about fitness and anything can happen in the PL.

Can't believe Alonso may well be going, such a great player.

Yeah he probably will be used as a sub/for those cups but I think he is capable of playing in the PL but either way he will be a good talent in the future. Don't forget, we need to pay back for the stadium, and that's what the bulk of money is going towards so that £40 Mill might go towards that but I'm sure at least 1 or 2 signings will happen.

Oh ye i forgot about the Stadium and ye, that's probs the reason why the board cannot afford to give the club a good transfer kitty.
