most of been a weird site seeing fire engines coming to fire engines
like the person said, smoke alarms do not prevent fires, just alert the people inside. who was there to alert? no one was there at 4 am

Yup well said, Ironic
Considerng the new DOE adverts say "Smoke alarms save lives, and help early prevention of fire"
Kinda hypocritical of them to shout at us for not having them lol!!

Well, this is rather worrying.
I lol'ed at the title, though.
Seems like a very Irish thing to happen tbh![]()
Nah smaller one's use pagers to "page" in workers when there's a fire, similar to how lifeboat stations work. During the day they'll be one or two people there but because there's so few fires at night, smaller stations don't have staff operating there 24/7.
