I started coding a very similar system about a year ago, never got round to finishing it though. I'll check on my old computers to see if I can dig up the code for you.

AP Corbis and Reuters are 3 popular versions of this. Not knocking your idea but you may wish to look at their websites for any inspiration or additional features you hadn't considered.

darren, you've failed about a million times before inc. when someone trashed your theme park so tbh I'd give it up. Sound advice. I don't mean it in a horrible way but you'll fail.

    Trinity, that would be brilliant.

Can I just remind people that I aiming to only supply images from the Isle of Wight - At current it is very rare for mainland photographers to come to the Island, therefore this system may be very cost effective for mainland photographers/companies.

I cannot believe people still bring up the Habbo days of CTP - Im a self employed professional photographer now, not some 13 year old kid bored after school.

Well in that case you can't really expect to give the coders of the system commision for the profits the system generates because it will only a generate a small amount. Unless of course you're just paying someone for it?

and I can't believe you're still calling yourself a professional photographer. Look up the definition of professional.

    1. You don't have formal training.
    2. You don't earn a living from it.

How ever good you are, you aren't a professional. Its like with Golf, someone could be one of the best Golfers in the world but they aren't a professional Golfer if they haven't had formal training and they don't earn a living from it.

I have a web developer onboard now, however I am still interested to see what others can offer.

    1) Very few photographers have 'formal training'. Photography is a learn on the job skill
    2) I work full time as a photographer. It is my only job, my only form of income.

    1) However good they are they aren't "Professional" then, you can't just go around calling yourself Professional when in all instances you aren't.
    2) Theres a difference between an income and a living. If I work in McDonalds on a saturday, and to be honest probably earn more than you do, then is it my living? No, because I get that from my parents.

You do not need any qualifications or formal training to be considered a professional. If you are skilled at your job, know what you're doing and have been doing it for a little while you can be regarded as a professional.

Regarding your second point, I'm assuming you're roughly the same age as Darren. You work in McDonalds, he's taking photographs for his income/living and is aiming even higher. I'd probably stop posting in this conversation if I were you.

Darren, PM me your email / contact details. I'll work with you on this project for free.
