Exactly, yes Like it or not, Youmeo had a large user base and has been featured in several news papers/big blogs/etc. Oh and there was of course several other people speaking such as Jon Wheatley, Nick Bell, Alex Tew, Anna Debenham and Nick Pellant. If you think they aren't experienced or not worth listening to then you have a lot to learn.

Those people are all fine and well but someone who hasn't earned a great deal, hasn't got a fantastic portfolio having being made redundant from a stale website that was closed for the best part of 4 months overall isn't worth listening to. I'm sorry but you're not even old enough to legally have a drink at the pub (WITHOUT A MEAL BEFORE SOME STAIN TRIES TO BE CLEVER). Give it 3/4 years when you've established yourself to the standards of those people and I will come and visit one of your conferences. I think, now though, you're ahead of yourself - and not in a good way.

Hasn't earned a great deal? I've managed to start a company with a friend and earn investment? How is that not good for a 17 year old? No offence, but I'd like to see you pitch a business of your own (at 17) to people and actually make them listen enough for them to offer you a cash investment in your business. Also, I was offered a job at Inormas (the new name for Youmeo's business, etc) which I rejected to start my own business. What bloody difference does being able to buy a drink make? That's the most stupid comment I've ever seen regarding this conference, congratulations Adam. There's a lot more going on in my life that I don't post on here that Grant & Rob know about. I deserved my place at that conference as much as anyone else

I left Youmeo in May to pursue my own business venture. You'd have to contact Calum for info regarding it's beta - I have no idea what's happening there at the moment.

• I probably could pitch a business of my own - the fact is the internet is a business where it's a matter of not necessarily what you know; it's who you know and unfortunately enough, I never had the luck you had with Mr.Brannan nor will I, which is why I gave up.
• I admire you for turning down a salary to start your own 'business' but the problem is, you and Greg start on one thing then go on to another thing without finishing or establishing the first project. All ideas are fantastic. That's about it though.
• It was a fact to show that you are young, still have a lot to learn - more experienced heads are out there to yours and would benefit to audience at the conference moreso than yours.

• Of course there is, which is why we have 8 revenue models to look into. We wouldn't receive investment for a pre-revenue business if we had no way of giving the invester an ROI.
• That may be what you believe, but I completely dissagree. Calum has not helped me earn investment for my business, my past projects have. Several of my previous sites have been popular and have proven that myself and Greg have what it takes to create a successful website that can make a profit. No investor will give a 17 year old a bunch of cash just because he worked with someone. That's a very silly comment to make.
• We've only made start/stop projects whilst we were employed at Youemo as we had no need to commit to the websites. They simply existed to help us gain some publicity and then make a profit.
• The average age of people at the conference (speaking wise) was probably 17-18, perhaps 19. The point of the conference is to have teenage speakers, so the fact I'm only 17 is a moot point.
• My speaker bio explains that I've worked for a popular social network, I've created sites that have been on Mashable and I'm now working on a new site. It also links to my Twitter where you could easily find out about my newer projects. It's your fault if you make incorrect comments without doing a little bit of research first.

He was pointing out that very few 17 year olds (E.G. That arn´t even old enough to have the full "advantages" of being an adult) can actually make a business work. For example; When you sell a business of yours for 5,000grand+ people will take you more seriously.

Well then surely that's a reason why I deserve a place at the conference? If I couldn't make the business work, someone wouldn't have risked investing their own money in myself and Greg. Oh and we've received offers of over £2000 for SearchMerge.com which was less than a day's work so we're half way to £5000 lol .
