Yes. I felt that it was trying way too hard to make you feel sorry for characters you really couldn't care less about, and why the hell are they traveling around helping everyone out. Is this Pokemon? Are they good samaritans? I don't care about this person, get on with the story. It forces these short stories upon you, presents you with some sad sob story and pathetic characters but resolves it with a "and they live happily ever after". It's stupid. The short jokes get really redundant after a while as well. It's way too overly melodramatic for my liking, and the characters have no real development. Sorry, but I think it's mediocre (my opinion).
If you like non-stop pointless action - yes.
Wow chris, i thought you all of people wouldn't completely judge an anime without watching it all. Perhaps theres character development later on in the story? Perhaps when it gets to the real story it gets mega-awesome?Yes. Watch it all. If you say you don't like it then fair enough.
An anime is not suppost to start off crap and get better later on, it should catch your attention right from the start. That's what its main objective should be, so I have no problem saying what I think about a series even when I haven't seen it in its entirety. If I don't like what I'm seeing I'm going to say I don't like it. I'm also a person that, if a series starts off crap but gets really good later on or vice versa, I wouldn't forgive it and would still consider it mediocre. Hence why I consider Soul Eater crap even though I loved the first half - because the last half sucks. So even if I do decide to watch the rest of FMA, I would have nothing to look forward to because I wouldn't forgive the first part of the series. A good anime should be consistant throughout. If it doesn't have that, then it's not good in my opinion. You like the series, theres wrong with that, but I don't like the series and have no interest in watching the rest so please stop telling me to watch it.Wow chris, i thought you all of people wouldn't completely judge an anime without watching it all. IMO im enjoying it. ( Has the VA for sanji ) but not just for that its quite good its only 24 eps long ( 2 seasons ) so yea for what it is its quite good.
OP was boring at the begining and then gradually got better then awesome. and now when i look back i think the boring bit was awesome. An anime is not suppost to start off crap and get better later on, it should catch your attention right from the start.
